City's Under-21s and Under-18s resume duties against Crystal Palace and Norwich City respectively

Following last Saturday’s 2-1 reverse at Aston Villa, with Stephy Mavididi on the scoresheet across the Midlands, focus has this week shifted to cup responsibilities, with the 2021 FA Cup winners starting their 2024/25 campaign against second-tier opposition.

City won one and lost one against the Hoops last term on their journey to becoming EFL Championship champions for a record eighth time. Revenge might be on the minds for Leicester, mind you, as it was the visitors who left with the points back in March.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will address the media later this week to look ahead to QPR.

Elsewhere, the City Development Squad's first outing of 2025 arrives on Friday as Crystal Palace Under-21s are their guests at LCFC Training Ground (7pm kick-off). Tickets can be secured HERE. The young Foxes are currently in the safety of mid-table in Premier League 2, 14th in the 26-team table, at the halfway stage of a promising campaign for the Club’s youngsters.

City's Under-18s return to action with a trip to Norwich City this weekend.

The Under-18s, on the other hand, travel east on Saturday to Avant Training Centre to take on Norwich City Under-18s in a 1pm kick-off. The side coached by Adam Barradell, who ended last year with a 3-2 reverse to Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup Third Round, could climb to ninth place in the U18 Premier League South with a victory over the Canaries.
