Youri Tielemans and Jonny Evans congratulate James Maddison on his sixth goal of the season against the Gunners.

Gerry Taggart said: “An absolutely fantastic performance and the result to match the performance. Arsenal huffed and puffed all evening and showed glimpses of a really good football team, but in the end, those fitness levels and a relentlessness pursuit for success has got Leicester City over the line. They scored two goals late in the game to see off Arsenal. Leicester dug in deep when Arsenal had their moments and they got the three points.”

Matt Elliott said: “King Power Stadium takes your breath away sometimes. When the atmosphere’s like that, when Jamie Vardy’s goal went in, the emotion around the stadium was unbelievable. It was compounded by the second goal and people were enjoying themselves. It all kicked in today and it was great stuff. Listen, I’m not getting carried away, but the atmosphere inside the stadium, it was reminiscent of the 2015/16 season.”

All four corners of the crowd paid their tribute on the Club's Remembrance Fixture in rainy conditions.

Nev Foulger said: “I wouldn’t say it was the perfect performance, but it was very nearly the perfect performance. They haven’t conceded a goal. They might’ve done tonight, on occasions they were a little bit shaky, but you can put that down to the conditions, the way the ball was skidding around, and Arsenal missed a couple of chances. Forget about that, though, it’s another clean sheet. It could have been more for Leicester too.”

Quality options

Belgium international Dennis Praet has once again impressive from the bench.

Gerry Taggart said: “Brendan’s got quality on the bench. Dennis Praet would get in most teams and he’s on the bench at the moment. He’s a fully-fledged international who’s been playing in Italy for a top team. It just showed you the strength in depth. He is a good, good player. He made a real impact when he came on and it’s so promising for Brendan and for Leicester City that they have players like Praet and Demarai Gray itching to get on.”

Matt Elliott said: “Arsenal played their part in the game and at times it was slightly concerning, but the fitness, the energy and the vibrancy that Leicester have got carried them through, as well as the quality and the finesse that they possess. It was stirring stuff against a decent Arsenal team on the night. I think Leicester deservedly came out on top. They’re second in the league, the second-top goalscorers, the best defence, so it’s all looking good.”

Terrific late performance

Nev Foulger said: “It was a terrific performance on a night that was pretty miserable in terms of the weather, but the atmosphere at the stadium, right from the start with the minute’s silence, and the remembrance day events, right through the game into the second half, it was absolutely fabulous. They were terrific in the second half of the second half.”
