- Clinics to be held at King Power Stadium on 3, 4 and 5 September
- Pfizer vaccine to be offered to anyone over the age of 16
- No pre-booked appointments necessary
The clinics will be open from 11am to 7pm between Friday 3 September and Sunday 5 September. No pre-booked appointments are necessary, but anyone wishing to attend at a specific time can reserve a place HERE.
The vaccine provided will be Pfizer and is suitable for anyone over the age of 16. Doses 1 and 2 will be available but there must be at least an eight-week gap between both doses. Sixteen and 17-year-olds only need a single dose.
The clinics will be located at turnstile W1 at King Stadium, with NHS marshals on hand across the three days to provide further support and information.
Leicester City Football Club Ambassador, Alan Birchenall, said: "It’s great to once again be hosting the COVID-19 vaccination clinics at King Power Stadium. Covid has really restricted our lives, so the sooner we can get back to doing the things we love, with the people who are most important to us, the better."
Dr Caroline Trevithick, Executive Director of Nursing, Quality and Performance and Deputy Chief Executive of the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland CCGs, said: "We’re so pleased to be able to run clinics from King Power Stadium for a second time and we hope it will encourage many more people to have this life-saving vaccine. If you are eligible but have previously not come forward, for any reason, I urge you to reconsider and to get it done now. It’s not too late and you’ve not missed your chance, whatever your age."
