It was another successful day for Leicester City players on the international stage, which started in the early hours of Sunday morning when Australia faced Mexico in a friendly match at AT&T Stadium in Texas, USA.

Defender Souttar started the match for the Socceroos, and got himself on the scoresheet just 16 minutes in when a powerful header into the bottom left-hand corner gave his side the lead at the home of NFL side, the Dallas Cowboys.

Australia's lead was strengthened a little over the hour mark when Martin Boyle converted a penalty, but Mexico would come away from the game the happiest of the two sides, after they sparked a two-goal comeback. Raul Jimenez also converted a spot-kick moments later, before Cesar Huerta brought the scores level with less than 10 minutes to go.

Later on in the day, two Foxes were named in the Nigerian squad to face Sao Tome and Principe, in the form of Ndidi and Iheanacho, as the Super Eagles looked to top Group A in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification stages.

Both players were replaced late on in the second half as Nigeria romped home to a 6-0 victory over their African counterparts, ensuring a first place finish in their group after five wins from six games.

Napoli striker Victor Oshimen broke the deadlock just 13 minutes in on his way to a hat-trick at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, while Taiwo Awoniyi, Samuel Chukwueze and former City winger Ademola Lookman also got on the scoresheet.

Mads Hermansen's Denmark were also in action as they beat Finland 1-0 in Group H of the UEFA EURO Qualification stage, but the 'keeper was an unused substitute in Helsinki as Pierre-Emile Højbjerg found the only goal of the game to keep them top of the group with 13 points.

International duty continues into next week for some of our Foxes, as Callum Doyle and Danny Ward have the chance to represent England's Under-21s and Wales respectively on Monday, before Sky Bet Championship action resumes on Friday evening for Enzo Maresa's side who make the trip to the south coast to face Southampton.
