Leicester were held to a 2-2 draw at the weekend when a late Rachel Daly goal shared the points with the Villans at Poundland Bescot Stadium.

Cayman, who has seven goals in her debut season with the Club, believes it was a hard-fought game across the Midlands, but admits that they should’ve held on for the win.

“I think we came out and played quite well in the first half,” Cayman explained. “We had some good chances, so of course the 2-2 is pretty disappointing.

“We were aiming for the victory today, but we played well, and we can build on this. Our first goal was a brilliant reaction from our part, but it’s just unlucky that we can't leave the game at 2-1 when we had the lead.

“At half-time we said we needed to stick together, keep doing the rights things because today showed we have the right qualities but it’s our job to keep the lead once we get it.”

The Belgian international spoke about the influence of Japanese forward Yuka Momiki, who was involved in both of Saturday’s goals, and the joy she gets from playing with her.

Cayman went on to talk about the upcoming semi-final clash against Tottenham Hotspur next month in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, and what it would mean for the Foxes to reach Wembley.

“She (Yuka Momiki) is a brilliant player,” the No.11 continued. “She is scoring goals and giving assists at the moment. She’s nice to play with because she’s very intelligent and she’s magic when the balls at her feet.

“I’m super excited about the FA Cup Semi-Final. It’s a first time for the Club, and we want to win that game to get to Wembley.

“We’ll be very motivated when that game comes around for sure. We learn a lot from every game, and I hope that in the semi-final we can put it all together.”
