Eddie Howe says his on Sunday determined to end another successful Premier League campaign with a 13th victory of the season.

Both clubs know success at King Power Stadium will secure a top-half finish and the Cherries go into the encounter on the back of three wins from their last four matches.

Leicester, meanwhile, must overcome the disappointment of a defeat by Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday evening.

Howe, who guided Bournemouth to a remarkable promotion season in the Sky Bet Championship two years ago, has reflected on his side’s progress in the top-flight as they prepare to lock horns with the 2015/16 champions on the final day on Filbert Way this weekend.

“It has been a good season to this point and we want to finish on a high if we can. Our end-of-season form has been very strong,” Howe said.

“The first year was tough, everything we expected. The second season we felt would be different in many ways, potentially harder and I think that has been the case.

“I don't think there has been any surprises for us, the pitfalls of the second season have been there, but we have managed to control them and the players deserve a lot of credit for not letting standards drop. The work rate has been there and the attitude has been there.

“When those two things have been there then we are a very difficult team to play against.”

Meanwhile, Andy Martin, from the Bournemouth Echo, shared Howe’s thoughts on the current campaign and says the south coast club will be desperate to emerge with three points and a top-10 finish to further continue their progress in the Premier League.

“They’ve had a pretty good season,” he told LCFC Radio. “This is their second season in the Premier League. It was a good season last year and they’ve really consolidated things. They say the second season is always difficult but, hopefully, they are going to finish around about where Leicester are.

“There has been some inconsistency and some poor performances but, overall, it’s been a year of really good play and they have played fast, attacking, stylish football. Eddie Howe has done a really good job and everyone associated with Bournemouth are looking forward to season three in the Premier League.”

Martin also believes Bournemouth will take great pride from a mid-table berth and admits it will be considered a surprise if they are able to finish in the top-10.

“Clearly a top-10 finish is good for any club outside the bigger ones,” he added. “Particularly for Bournemouth, they have proved the doubters wrong. They’re a smaller club with only an 11,000 capacity but they’ve proven people wrong and they haven’t really been in a relegation battle.

"To finish in the top-10 would be a phenomenal season and they want to finish the season on a high note.”
