Iborra Thrilled By Ambitious Foxes
- Vicente Iborra spoke of Leicester City’s ambition after joining the Club on a four-year deal
- The Spaniard says he is looking forward to playing in the Premier League, which he described as ‘competitive’
- Iborra became the Foxes’ second signing of the season after making the switch from Sevilla
In the past four years, the Foxes have won two league titles and have competed in the UEFA Champions League for the first time during what has been an incredible period.
City are now known across the globe following their Premier League triumph and Iborra believes the Club are set to embark on another important footballing journey – one that he is delighted to be part of.
“I am very happy for a new experience in football with this team in the Premier League,” Iborra told LCFC TV. “This season is important for me. Leicester is a team that have been very important in the last few years.
“They’ve become champions and played in the Champions League – I’m very happy. Leicester is an important and ambitious project. I’m very interested in the direction of this Club.
“I play here with Sevilla in the Champions League and the atmosphere of the stadium with the supporters was very nice. I like this atmosphere.”
Iborra knows competing in the Premier League will be a challenge, but is looking forward to the experience of playing in England’s top flight.
“I’m a team player,” said Iborra. “I’m competitive and ambitious in collective and team objectives. I’m a good team-mate.
“The Premier League is a competitive league and for me I like to play games against new teams and players. I like new experiences and for me it’s interesting. For me and Leicester, the new season is going to be really interesting.
“The Premier League is a league that is more physical that La Liga. The Spanish league is more tactical than here.”
