Foxes Foundation Soccer Sunday

Raising money in support of the and , the match, organised in collaboration with Sellebrity UK, proved a great success with some stellar performances from players on both sides.

A game played in brilliant spirits was eventually won 5-4 by the Foxes Foundation XI, captained by The Only Way Is Essex star Mario Falcone, against an All Star XI, captained by EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt.

Showbiz stars such as Shayne Ward, Gareth Gates and McFly’s Danny Jones were among those in action, along with some familiar faces to Leicester City fans, including the likes of Steve Walsh, Muzzy Izzet, Robbie Savage and Matt Elliott.

The event was the latest in a series to be staged by Sellebrity – the creation of former Foxes star Darren Eadie, who was also among the players in action on Sunday. Raising money for a number of worthy causes, the organisation have also hosted matches at Norwich City’s Carrow Road, Birmingham City’s St Andrew’s Stadium, Swindon Town’s County Ground and Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium.

Almost £200,000 has been raised from the fixtures so far, and with all costs covered by sponsorship, even more money has been able to go towards worthwhile causes.
