A hat-trick from Eddie Nketiah saw Arsenal record a 5-0 win over Leicester City’s Under-18s at Arsenal Training Centre on Saturday afternoon.

The young Foxes were aiming to return to winning ways after being beaten 2-0 by Reading at Belvoir Drive last time out, but came up against an Arsenal side in fine form.

The Gunners had won three of their last five U18 Premier League games heading into the fixture, scoring 14 times in the process.

Arsenal’s goalscoring form was again evident on Saturday, as they were clinical in front of goal and raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to Nketiah’s first-half double.

Nketiah completed his hat-trick from the spot 10 minutes after the break, before Marcus McGuane and Vlad Dragomir rounded off the scoring in London.

Trevor Peake’s outfit next face Swansea City at Belvoir Drive on Saturday 1 October (12pm kick-off).
