Hamer: Brilliant Blue Army Drive Us On
- Leicester City goalkeeper Ben Hamer was pleased with the 3-1 success over Leeds United on Tuesday
- The Foxes overturned a one-goal deficit to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup
- Hamer also credited the Club's supporters for their loyal backing at King Power Stadium
Kelechi Iheanacho, Islam Slimani and Riyad Mahrez struck for City following Pablo Hernández’s opener for the visitors in front of a capacity King Power Stadium crowd.
A typically raucous atmosphere was created once again on Filbert Way for the Round 4 tie and Hamer revealed at full-time just how greatly the Foxes squad value the Club’s supporters.
During his briefing with LCFC TV, City goalkeeper Hamer said: “We’ve got great support, haven’t we? You see that every week, they are loud and they come out in their numbers.
Hamer Delighted With Cup Progress
City shot-stopper Ben Hamer spoke to LCFC TV after the Foxes' 3-1 victory over Leeds in the Carabao Cup.
“Our fans are brilliant and the boys do really enjoy it when we play here because they get behind us and they drive us on.”
Hamer went largely untested for large periods late on but he was called upon during the early stages by the Sky Bet Championship outfit.
After Hernández’s strike from distance in the 26th minute, the Foxes settled and were level just four minutes later through Iheanacho’s composed finish.
Nice to get through to the next round good solid performance from the lads and great support again!! Thank you! See you Sunday #lcfc

Algerian duo Slimani and Mahrez completed the turnaround and Hamer says he was relieved to see his team-mates take control of the tie.
He added: “They came out and posed a bit of a threat in the first 25 minutes. They got an early shot off which I thought may have been a sign of things to come.
“But we turned it on, we played with tempo and showed our quality. In the end we were quite comfortable.
“You don’t want to concede goals but it gave us a kick which forced us into action and we had a couple of good chances in the second half.
“It’s a pleasing 3-1 win, we’re into the next round and we look forward to facing whoever we get next.”
