A victory at Swansea City last weekend moved the Foxes up to 14th position in the Premier League table, while they also advanced to the Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals thanks to a 3-1 win over Leeds United at King Power Stadium on Tuesday.

Everton, meanwhile, currently sit in the bottom three, but Morgan knows with the talent they possess, they will no doubt be a danger when they come to Leicester.

“I’m sure they expected to be in a different position to where they are right now,” said the captain. “With the players they’ve got, I’m sure they’ll improve at some point and start getting some results.

“We still have to be aware of what they’re capable of. We’ve had a couple of good results of late and we want to keep our momentum going so it’ll be a tough game.

The skipper prepares for this weekend's fixture.

“We’re starting to find some confidence and hopefully we can take it into Sunday’s game.

“They’ve not done too bad in general. For one reason or another, it’s not gone their way.

“They’ll be a bit low on confidence and I’m sure as soon as they get their win, it’ll spur them on. Hopefully it won’t be against us.”

For Morgan, the win over Swansea proved that City can grind out important results against opponents that are in and around them in the Premier League rankings.

“It was a big, big result,” Morgan reflected on his side’s recent trip to South Wales. “Swansea are in and around us and obviously we had a tough week after losing our manager.

With the players they’ve got, I’m sure they’ll improve at some point and start getting some results.

“We wanted to put on a big performance and I think our general play was much better than it has been.

“We took our chances and overall, we were the better team. You can see that we’re capable of getting results, we just need to apply ourselves and do more to get more results.”

Sunday marks the Club’s Remembrance Fixture and Morgan says he is proud to be able to pay his respects when he wears the poppy-adorned Leicester City shirt.

He added: “It comes around this time every year and we pay our respects to all the fallen soldiers. I’m sure we’ll have that minute’s silence and I’m sure the fans will put on a show and that’s fantastic.”
