Defeat To The Hammers For Young Foxes

Leicester City's Under-18s were beaten 5-0 by high-flying West Ham United in the U18 Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

After a win on the road against Stoke City and a draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, Leicester progressed to the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup, having topped group Group A with seven points.

Following this achievement, City returned to league action for the first time in a month for the trip to London to take on West Ham at Little Heath Sports Ground, going head-to-head against a Hammers side currently second in the division.

Jemiah Umolu opened the scoring after 14 minutes and completed his hat-trick before the hour mark in the second half.

Liam Jones scored the second goal of the game 27 minutes in before Tyron Akpata finished off the scoring in added time to condemn the visitors to defeat in the capital.

City now head home to LCFC Training Ground for a FA Youth Cup fixture against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon (12pm kick-off) as the young Foxes look to get back to winning ways.
